This privacy policy applies to the candidate application portal operated by Genesis Sprinklers & Water Management, LLC (“Genesis,” “we,” “us”), located in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. This portal is hosted at careers.genesiswm.net and is used exclusively for recruiting and hiring purposes.

What Information We Collect

When you apply for a position through our portal, we collect the following information:

Information you provide directly: your full name, phone number, ZIP code, email address (if provided), whether you hold a valid Florida driver’s license, years of irrigation or related experience, professional certifications, employment tenure history, personality quiz responses, and any resume or document you upload.

Information collected automatically: your phone number is normalized to E.164 international format for SMS delivery. We also collect source attribution data including UTM parameters and referrer URLs so we can measure which recruiting channels are most effective. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to evaluate your application, communicate with you about the position via SMS and email, schedule interviews, and — if you are hired — onboard you into Genesis payroll and employment systems.

We do not use your information for any purpose unrelated to the hiring process. We do not build advertising profiles, sell leads, or market third-party products to you.

SMS Communications and Consent

By submitting an application through our portal, you consent to receive SMS text messages from Genesis Sprinklers & Water Management related to your application. These messages may include application confirmations, interview scheduling, status updates, and follow-up communications.

Message frequency varies by application cycle, typically between 2 and 5 messages.

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

To opt out of SMS messages at any time, reply STOP to any message you receive from us. You will receive a single confirmation message and no further texts will be sent.

Opting out of SMS does not withdraw your application. We will continue processing your application and may contact you by email or phone if you have provided those.

Data Retention

We retain candidate data for 12 months after your last interaction with our portal, unless one of the following applies:

If you are hired, your application data becomes part of your employment record and is retained in accordance with federal and state employment recordkeeping requirements.

If you request deletion, we will delete your data within 30 days of your request, subject to any legal retention obligations.

After the 12-month retention period, application data that has not resulted in employment is permanently deleted from our systems.

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with other contractors, staffing agencies, or third parties for marketing purposes.

We share data only with the following service providers, each of which operates under their own data processing agreements:

Twilio — for SMS message delivery
Supabase — for secure database hosting
Vercel — for application hosting and delivery

These providers process your data solely on our behalf and for the purposes described in this policy. They do not use your data for their own marketing or other purposes.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct any inaccurate information in your application
Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements

To exercise any of these rights, email hiring@genesiswm.net with your name and the email or phone number associated with your application. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and secure hosting infrastructure. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information you entrust to us.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the application portal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
